Vacation Destination: Your Favorite Novel

Recently, my sister had the privilege of visiting the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park in Florida. I admit it. I was jealous. While she walked the halls of Hogwarts, we had a Harry Potter day at my house, where I tried my hand at making butterbeer, and we watched YouTube videos of people going on rides at the park.

Sometimes, I wish so much that I could literally step into the world in those books, that I ache inside. OK. I'm not crazy, really. It's just that some authors do such a fantastic job of creating their imaginary world, that I want to see it with my own eyes; to be there in more than my imagination or on a TV screen.

I remember the first time I read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. When Willy Wonka scooped up a cup of the chocolate river and handed it to Charlie, I could almost taste the sweet smooth chocolate running down my own throat! Sometimes I still look for a golden ticket hidden under the wrapper when I open a candy bar.

Wouldn't it be great if we could take a vacation into novels? Now, that's a travel package I would sign up for! If you could visit any location from a book, where would YOU go?
